Making a table for your blog

Wednesday, September 7, 2011

Here is a code to make a very simple table ....Its easy to add to it and customize it to suit your blog
First go to new post then click EDIT HTML and copy and paste the code shown below

<table><tbody>
<tr><td>place content here</td> <td>place content here</td><td>place content here</td><td>place content here</td> </tr>

<tr><td>place content here</td> <td>place content here</td><td>place content here</td><td>place content here</td> </tr>
</tbody></table>

The above code would make 4 columns and 2 rows so you could insert 8 photos/links etc into the table

The simple thing to remember is each code for a table must start with  <table><tbody>  and end with </tbody></table>  and each row starts and ends with tr  and each cell (where you put your contents) starts and ends with td

So to add on rows to the table just copy go to Edit HTML and copy and paste  <tr><td>place content here</td> <td>place content here</td><td>place content here</td><td>place content here</td> </tr>

This is what your table will look like when you click on publish post

So each place content here is a cell so when you go back to edit just add what you want to each cell ....
If you have questions please feel free to ask

Please check out my blogroll page to see what I did with my table ...I used it for buttons and links

“But is it such a bad thing to live like this for just a little while? Just for a few months of one's life, is it so awful to travel through time with no greater ambition than to find the next lovely meal? Or to learn how to speak a language for no higher purpose than that it pleases your ear to hear it? Or to nap in a garden, in a patch of sunlight, in the middle of the day, right next to your favourite fountain? And then to do it again the next day?”
