Father's Day 2012

Monday, June 18, 2012

This Father's Day it was declared  that Michael would decide where or how he would like to spend it....So he decided we would go driving around the country streets of nearby towns and we had so much fun ...I think no matter what that man does he always has me in mind on what I would enjoy too and he got it right again ...We went east of Whitby and there is so many quaint pretty towns just a few miles of the freeway

We drove for a little way and we saw a sign that said lake so we had to check it out

I swear you would think that you were exploring the Oregon Coast minus the sound the crashing waves make ...It was Lake Ontario and you could look forever and no sign of land anywhere I was amazed ...If only one giant wave would crash on shore or I could catch the scent of that salty ocean but that doesn't happen so far now I have to enjoy what I have

So we ended the day with a trip to a flea market which is so different from the flea markets in Colorado but again be thankful for what we have :~/

I always enjoy spending the day with my bestest friend no matter what we find ...I can't wait for our next exploring day

My exploring days somehow end up with me in an antique shop or flea market! I'm your newest fan/follower and really enjoy your posts. Good job!

“But is it such a bad thing to live like this for just a little while? Just for a few months of one's life, is it so awful to travel through time with no greater ambition than to find the next lovely meal? Or to learn how to speak a language for no higher purpose than that it pleases your ear to hear it? Or to nap in a garden, in a patch of sunlight, in the middle of the day, right next to your favourite fountain? And then to do it again the next day?”
